VETERANS REPAIR PROGRAM
New for 2020, we will focus on alleviating health and safety issues for Veterans living in the Waushara, Green Lake and Marquette Counties. Repairs may include floors, walls, roofs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, accessible ramps, grab bars and other accessibility modifications. Applications are selected based on most need and resources available. Habitat's Veterans Repair Program is fully funded by donations, sponsorships, volunteers, fundraisers and grants.
Repairs are done at zero cost to the veteran.
PROGRAM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA
A Need for Housing Repair
Overcrowding, unsafe conditions, accessibility needs—cannot obtain conventional loan for repair.
This program is specifically for those who have served in the armed forces of the United States. Applicant must be a veteran or have a veteran living in the home as a primary residence, Veteran must have Honorable or General Discharge status and must provide DD Form 214, veteran is not required to have served over-seas.
A Willingness To Partner With Habitat
Complete sweat equity hours and commit to living in residence at least 5 years after completed repair.
Applicant must be under the financial maximum per number of people living in home.
